Team

Our team consists of highly qualified professionals with differing areas of expertise. Licensed mental health counselors  work together to ensure the best services and treatment possible.

Licensed Mental Health Professionals

Our mental health professionals encourage self-growth through individual, family, and group therapy. Our counselors specialize in utilizing evidence-based treatments to assist clients in reaching their full potential through self-exploration, self-understanding, and strength identification.

Therapy treatment begins with an assessment that identifies a client’s current symptoms. Our counselors then design an individualized treatment plan that focuses on personal wellness development. The purpose of the treatment plan is to enhance overall well-being by helping each client identify the best approaches that will help them deal with a range of concerns; from coping with distress, dealing with past and current life experiences, solving problems, achieving emotional self-regulation, practicing effective self-care, engaging in healthy behaviors, achieving healthy relationships, reaching motivation to achieve personal goals, and improving resilience.

My passion to create Lighthouse Wellness & Vitality

Lighthouse Wellness & Vitality was founded with a commitment to serve the community to live in a healthier place. I wanted to create a therapeutic space that combined positive energy and the highest quality of therapeutic and psychological care. The idea was to redefine the landscape and create a holistic integrated approach when it comes to mental health care and treatment. I wanted Lighthouse Wellness & Vitality to represent the light that guides each client towards their personal source of happiness and well being. I wanted to create a space where I worked consistently with my values, where anyone would love to go to, including clients, my team, and me. The idea of creating a practice was not just about providing a service. From the beginning has been about providing an enriching experience for youth and adults where they have the opportunity to achieve a balanced and fulfilling life. Our cozy setting is designed to help clients develop a sense of authenticity, security, calm, value, understanding, and ultimately, joy.

My Background

Born and raised in Bogota, Colombia. I moved to the United States to complete my undergraduate and postgraduate training. My curiosity for the human experience led me to pursue my studies in psychology. After completing my studies as an undergraduate in New York City. I moved to Miami, Florida. I completed my master's in mental health counseling at Nova Southeastern University.  Over the past seven years, I have worked in a variety of outpatient practices providing services for domestic violence, substance use, developmental disorders, mood disorders, and trauma. Alongside this, I provided treatment in schools to deliver impactful therapy to students and meaningful consultation to teachers. I have worked as a Licensed Mental Health Counselor providing therapeutic services to children, adolescents, and adults with developmental, emotional, social, and other mental health needs. I utilize various modalities including Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Mindfulness, Acceptance, and Commitment Therapy (ACT) Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (DBT), Trauma-Focused Behavioral Therapy (TF-CBT), and Trauma Incident Reduction (TIR).

I have extensive experience in assessing and treating presenting concerns that negatively impact people's functionality such as ADHD, Anxiety, Depression, Trauma, Adjustment issues, and eating disorders.

My therapy approach focuses heavily on assessing clients' strengths as they will help them the most during their treatment. I invest in staying engaged in bringing the latest research and knowledge to provide the best services.
