Therapy

Therapy treatments at Lighthouse consist of embarking on a journey of self-discovery and self-growth.

1.

During the first session, the client will receive information regarding the therapeutic services offered.

2.

After the client agrees to an assessment, evaluation, and treatment, a mental health professional will provide a comprehensive clinical assessment. The assessment will explore the client’s overall history, interpersonal relationships, family history, medical history, developmental history, education, cultural beliefs, financial history, legal history, and the client’s strengths that may have an effect in the client’s life and therefore in treatment.

3.

A mental health professional and the client will develop a treatment plan to define the client’s main problems. It will describe the treatment prescribed by the mental health professional, which includes the identification of major goals and the treatment’s objectives with a specific timeline for treatment progress.

4.

When therapeutic treatment begins, a mental health professional and the client will participate in a collaborative effort to help resolve the client’s concerns. The therapist will facilitate the process by assisting the client in finding their own solutions to their concerns and by providing resources to grow into happiness, wellness, and stability.

5.

The client and the mental health professional will decide the duration of treatment. When enough progress has been made or a client’s goals have been reached, an individualized aftercare plan will be developed to help clients continue their self-growth path. The plan may include support and services to improve the client’s chances of success and long-term stability.
